Live in Luni

Last week, I played a wonderful show at the Roman Amphitheatre of Luni, a small town in Liguria (very close to Tuscany). It was special — not only was the setting beautiful, but Pat Mastelotto was also invited to take part. He played drums and percussion during my set, joining Alessandro Inolti, Eugene, and yours truly on stage. I don’t think I had ever played my solo material live with Pat before. It was about time, considering he has contributed to every solo album I’ve made! I wish we’d had more time to rehearse, though. We just ran through the songs a couple of times on the morning of the show, but we did our best. Also, we had another guest join us for the last three songs of the set — Lorenzo Eva (from the band NuovoNormale) on trumpet. He played beautifully.
